Malkangiri: Police have recovered a huge cache of arms, explosives and other incriminating articles from a major Maoist dump near the Odisha-Andhra border during an anti-Naxal operation.
Acting on reliable input, a joint team launched the anti-Naxal operation on Tuesday in the forest area of Hanumal, Sindhiput, Ondeipadar, Andrahal, Mudulipada under Machhkund Police Station of Koraput and Mudulipada Police Station of Malkangiri.
On Thursday, the officials recovered the explosive dump in the forest area near Sindhiput village under Andhrahal gram panchayat bordering Rangabayalu gram panchayat of Alluri Sitaram Raju district of Andhra Pradesh.
During the operation, the cops recovered Rs 70,000 cash, 17 metres cordex wire, 31 gelatin sticks, 11 electric detonators, one electric wire bundle, two tiffin bombs, one pressure cooker bomb, and one testing pin.
