A firecracker explosion occurred at Haldi Diha Square on Chandbali Road in Bhadrak while crackers were being packed, resulting in serious injuries to a child and five women.
The injured individuals were initially admitted to Bhadrak District Headquarters Hospital, but four critically injured victims were later shifted to Cuttack for emergency treatment.
While the exact cause of the explosion remains unclear, reports suggest that the incident occurred during illegal firecracker production. Upon receiving the news, Bhadrak Fire Brigade rushed to the scene to control the fire, while Bhadrak Police arrived to begin their investigation.
