Sundergarh: The decomposed body of a man, who had gone missing since Saturday, was recovered from a drain at Podasingh village under Rajgangpur police station limits in Sundergarh district today.
The deceased has been identified as Asran Hembram (31) from the same locality.
According to sources, Hembram had gone missing on Saturday. After a frantic search, family members failed to trace him. With no option left, they lodged a complaint in the local police station.
Reportedly, the matter came to fore after some locals spotted the body floating in the drain and immediately alerted the police about the matter.
On being informed, police reached the spot and recovered the body for post-mortem. An investigation has been initiated into the matter, police said.
