Malkangiri: The District Collector today suspended a Revenue inspector and a junior clerk for irregularities in the issuance of land deeds in Kalimela area of Malkangiri district.
Reportedly, Revenue Inspector Suresh Kumar Pujari and junior clerk Dibyasingh Paikaray have been suspended following an investigation into the incident.
After allegations of irregularities in the distribution of land pattas and publication of them through various media outlets, Malkangiri District Collector Dr. Y. Vijay directed the Deputy District Magistrate Rameshwar Pradhan and Additional District Magistrate Birsena Pradhan for investigation.
After receiving the report of the investigation, the district Collector himself went to the Kalimela tehsil office for investigation. Consequently, he came to know that the allegation of irregularities was true and placed the accused officials under suspension.
