A Police constable was found dead under suspicious circumstances in a barrack located in Subarnapur district on Thursday.

The deceased has been identified as Dillip Mishra. He was on duty at the Binika Papakshaya Loka Mahotsav.

Other constables found his body around 6:30 AM, and it was already stiff. Authorities have arranged for a post-mortem examination to ascertain the exact cause of death.

A thorough investigation has been launched, and Mishra’s family has been notified. He had been serving since February 11 and did not show up for duty the day before his passing.
