Bhubaneswar: The Special Relief Commissioner (SRC) on Saturday issued an advisory to police and transport department officials in view of the dense fog forecast by India Meteorological Department (IMD) in several parts of Odisha.
In a letter, the SRC has instructed police and transport department officials of some districts to take necessary measures for controlled movement of vehicles on National Highways during the dense fog
“Police and Transport officials of respective districts may take necessary steps for controlled plying of vehicles on highways during dense fog to avoid any accident, ” read the letter.
As per the latest bulletin issued by the IMD, dense fog is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Kandhamal, Boudh and Ganjam during the 16.01.2021 night and 17.01.2021 early morning.
