Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi is scheduled to depart for New Delhi this evening on a two-day official visit aimed at pushing the state’s green energy agenda and securing central assistance for local issues.
According to official sources, the Chief Minister will board a flight to the national capital at 6:00 PM. During his stay in New Delhi, CM Majhi will represent Odisha at the prestigious Bharat Renewable Energy Summit, where key national leaders, industry experts, and policymakers will gather to map out India’s transition to sustainable energy.
Deputy Chief Minister and Energy Minister Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo will accompany the Chief Minister to the summit. Their joint presence underscores Odisha’s commitment to expanding its clean energy infrastructure, attracting green investments, and integrating advanced technologies into the state’s power grid.
Beyond the green energy agenda, the Chief Minister’s visit holds significant administrative importance for Odisha’s ongoing disaster management efforts. CM Majhi is slated to meet with top central leadership to review the flood situation affecting several districts across the state. He is expected to submit a comprehensive assessment of the flood damage and press for urgent financial and logistical support from the Centre to bolster relief and rehabilitation efforts.
The two-day visit is anticipated to yield positive outcomes for both Odisha’s long-term sustainable development goals and its immediate post-flood recovery plans.
