A massive fire broke out at a tyre retreading factory in the Naushehra area of Firozabad, Uttar Pradesh, on Sunday afternoon. Emergency fire services from across the district were immediately mobilized following an alert received around 2:30 PM.
Firefighting teams faced an operational delay due to a localized water shortage after the facility’s internal water pump was destroyed in the blaze. As a result, fire tenders have been forced to shuttle back and forth to refill water tanks before returning to the site to continue containment efforts.
Fire Officer Satendra Pandey confirmed that the unit specializes in retreading old tyres. He noted that a similar fire incident occurred at the same facility earlier this year. Authorities emphasized that their immediate priority remains fully extinguishing the flames, after which a formal investigation will be initiated to determine the cause of the fire.
