Among them, two senior police officers—ASP Rabindra Panda and Commandant Naresh Patel—have been selected for the prestigious President’s Medal for Distinguished Service, recognising their outstanding contributions to law enforcement and public safety.
Additionally, nine personnel from Odisha Police will receive the Medal for Gallantry for acts of exceptional courage in the line of duty. This includes one Sub-Inspector, one Constable, two Odisha Auxiliary Police Force (OAPF) members, one Havildar, and four commandos.
Eleven more officers will be awarded the Medal for Meritorious Service, celebrating their dedication and long-standing commitment to public service.
The awards are part of the national list released annually by the Ministry of Home Affairs, which this year includes 233 Gallantry Awards, 758 Meritorious Service Medals, and 99 Distinguished Service Awards across various categories such as Police, Fire Services, Home Guards, and Civil Defence.
