A 108 ambulance met with an accident near Sonapol under the Kaptipada police station limits in Udala, Mayurbhanj.
The emergency vehicle, which was returning after dropping off a patient, lost balance and veered off the road, ultimately getting entangled in a tree near a bridge.
The accident has raised concerns about road safety for emergency vehicles in the region, particularly in areas with challenging terrain.
Eyewitnesses reported that the ambulance was navigating a tricky stretch near the bridge when it lost control. The vehicle narrowly avoided a more severe mishap, with the tree preventing it from plunging further. Fortunately, the ambulance crew escaped with minor injuries, and no patients were on board at the time of the incident. Rescue operations were promptly initiated, and the vehicle was secured to prevent further damage.
