Cuttack: At least 10 firefighters, who were deployed in cyclone Yaas rescue operations, were found to be infected with Coronavirus.
As per reports, as many as 190 fire crews were engaged for Yaas management from May 24 to May 27 in Jagatsingpur, Kendrapara, Mayurbhanj, Jajpur, and Balasore districts.
After the relief and rescue work, some of the personnel were reported to be unwell. Later, 10 fire personnel tested positive within two days.
Meanwhile, the infected persons have been admitted to the Covid hospital whereas the suspected ones are in isolation, the Fire service Official informed.
