Popular Odia travel vlogger Laba Hansda is at the center of controversy following the tragic death of his alleged girlfriend. While details of the incident remain under investigation, the case has sparked public curiosity and raised serious questions.
His elder sister, Asha Murmu, has responded to the media, claiming she was unaware of the circumstances. “My brother is outside the country, and the girl who died was in India. Only she could have explained why she took that extreme step. We will accept whatever comes out of the investigation,” Asha said.
She revealed that three of Laba’s brothers and their wives currently reside in Bhubaneswar, while their father remains in their native village. When asked whether Laba had married the deceased woman, she said, “Only Laba can clarify that. We came to know about this from the news. We want justice.”
Asha also expressed confidence in her brother’s character, saying she doesn’t believe he could do anything wrong. “He visited me three months ago. I haven’t spoken to him since the incident,” she added.
According to reports, Laba Hansda married Manda Hansda from Anandapur block in 2014. They had a daughter three years later. Afterward, Laba left Odisha to work in a tyre company. Allegations surfaced that Manda faced harassment from her in-laws, prompting her to return to her parental home. The couple is reportedly not officially separated.
Despite his marriage, Laba has been accused of having relationships with other women, leading to controversy over infidelity and betrayal.
