Mayurbhanj: Forest officials have busted a wildlife smuggling racket with the arrest of two persons in this connection in Mayurbhanj district.
Acting on a tip-off, the cops conducted a raid and arrested two wildlife smugglers from Andhra Pradesh when they were trying to sell the teeth and canines of musk deer at Dudhiani forest range area here.
The cops also seized canines of musk deer and four tiger nails from their possession.
Following this, a case under Sections 9, 27, 31 and punishable by Act 51 with wildlife protection Act.1972 has been registered and they will be produced in court.
