New Delhi: WhatsApp has become an integral part of our daily lives. Almost everybody checks their WhatsApp messenger just after waking up in the morning and before going to bed.
Now in order to improve the app, the developers are working on a new feature called ‘login approval’ that will increase the security of the platform.
According to a report by WABetaInfoWhatsApp, the users will receive in-app alerts if someone tries to log into their account. This is similar to other Meta platforms like Facebook and Instagram.
Reportedly, the prompt will show information such as the time when someone tried to access your account and perhaps the name or model of the device trying to access it. This makes it safer for those who frequently switch between devices. It’s also faster compared to the traditional authorization method that requires users to enter OTP and can be useful if you don’t have your primary device to hand.
