Weekly Special Trains to Connect Jhansi-Puri and Narangi-Bengaluru for Festive Rush

To ensure a seamless travel experience during the festive season, Indian Railways has announced the operation of Weekly Special Trains to accommodate the surge in passenger demand.


These trains will connect key destinations across the East Coast Railway zone, offering enhanced connectivity and convenience for travellers.

Jhansi–Puri–Jhansi Weekly Special (01929/01930)

The Jhansi–Puri Weekly Special Express (Train No. 01929) will depart from Jhansi at 11:55 AM every Friday until November 28, 2025. The return journey, Train No. 01930 Puri–Jhansi Weekly Special, will leave Puri at 11:45 PM every Saturday until November 29, 2025. This train will stop at major stations in the East Coast Railway zone, including Bhadrak, Jajpur Road, Cuttack, Bhubaneswar, Khurda Road, and Puri.

The train comprises 1 2nd AC coach, 2 3rd AC coaches, 8 Sleeper coaches, 8 General coaches, and 2 Second Class Luggage cum Divyangjan coaches, ensuring ample seating for diverse passenger needs.

Narangi–SMV Bengaluru–Narangi Weekly Special (06560/06559)

The Narangi–SMV Bengaluru Weekly Special (Train No. 06560) will depart from Narangi at 5:30 AM every Saturday until November 29, 2025. The return journey, Train No. 06559 SMV Bengaluru–Narangi Weekly Special, will leave SMV Bengaluru at 11:40 PM every Tuesday until November 25, 2025. Key halts in the East Coast Railway zone include Duvvada, Kottavalasa, Vizianagaram, Srikakulam Road, Palasa, Brahmapur, Khurda Road, Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, and Bhadrak.

The train’s composition includes 1 2nd AC coach, 4 3rd AC coaches, 8 Sleeper coaches, 6 General Second Class coaches, and 2 Second Class cum Luggage (Divyangjan) coaches.

These special trains are part of Indian Railways’ efforts to manage the festive season rush, ensuring passengers can travel comfortably to their destinations.
