Fugitive gangster Himanshu Bhau, wanted across India for multiple cases of murder, gang war, and extortion, has been apprehended in the United States and is currently held in immigration custody.
The 26-year-old criminal operated from abroad for years before being tracked down in Las Vegas by US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).
Joint Operation and Arrest Details
The arrest followed a crucial tip-off provided by the Haryana Police Special Task Force (STF). Along with Bhau, his associate and fellow gangster Neeraj Faridpuria was also taken into custody.
Official detainee locator records list two Indian-born men—identified as Himanshu Sigroha and Neeraj Kaushik—in ICE custody at the Henderson Detention Center in Henderson, Nevada. Their cases are currently being processed by ICE’s Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) office in Las Vegas. Originally hailing from Rohtak, Haryana, Bhau fled India in 2022 following three high-profile murder cases within 25 days. Investigators note that he routed his escape through Dubai, Portugal, and spent over two years hiding in Canada before entering the US.
High-Profile Crimes Linked to the Bhau Syndicate
The Himanshu Bhau gang has been under intense scrutiny from Indian law enforcement agencies for executing major attacks across Delhi, Haryana, and Punjab:
- Firing Outside Elvish Yadav’s Residence: The gang orchestrated a shooting outside YouTuber Elvish Yadav’s home in Gurugram on August 17, 2025. Arrested sharpshooters confirmed they operated under instructions from Bhau and Neeraj Faridpuria, who arranged funding, logistics, and weapons.
- Rajouri Garden Burger King Shootout: The syndicate claimed responsibility for a 2024 shooting at a Burger King outlet in Rajouri Garden, Delhi, which left a 26-year-old man dead in an alleged retaliation for a 2020 gang murder.
- Targeted Killings: The gang was also implicated in the murder of a close associate of Haryanvi singer Rahul Yadav (Fazilpuria) in Gurugram, claimed on social media by gang operative Sunil Sardhaniya.
Indian security agencies are coordinating with US officials to facilitate extradition or deportation proceedings to bring both fugitives back to stand trial.
