Virat Kohli Likely to Return for 2nd ODI Against England in Cuttack

Cuttack: India will face England in the second ODI at the Barabati Stadium on Sunday, aiming to seal the three-match series after a four-wicket victory in the first ODI at Nagpur’s Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium.

Historically, India has played five ODIs against England at Barabati, securing two wins. With a dominant 4-1 triumph in the T20 series and a victory in the first ODI, the hosts will look to extend their winning streak.

A major boost for Team India could be the return of star batter Virat Kohli, who missed the previous match due to a knee injury. Fans in Cuttack are eagerly anticipating his comeback.

Indian vice-captain Shubman Gill provided a positive update on Kohli’s fitness, confirming that the 37-year-old is expected to be available for the second ODI on February 9.

“Kohli had swelling in his knee when he woke up, which ruled him out of the first ODI. He felt fine during practice, but the morning swelling prevented him from playing. It’s nothing serious, and I’m sure he’ll be fit for the second ODI,” Gill stated.
