Former Rajasthan Ranji Trophy stalwart Vineet Saxena will lead the BCCI’s Under-19 elite boys camp as head coach.
The four-week program runs in Pondicherry from May 11 to June 6 under the Centre of Excellence, Bangalore.
Saxena, 45, carries extensive experience from nearly two decades in First-Class cricket, having played 129 matches for Rajasthan. His leadership promises to strengthen India’s youth cricket pipeline.
He previously served as batting coach for India A during T20 World Cup warm-up matches earlier this year. Last season, he headed Rajasthan women’s cricket, adding diversity to his coaching portfolio.
Saxena’s appointment reflects BCCI’s focus on nurturing young talent with seasoned guidance. His long career and recent assignments highlight his ability to mentor emerging players while instilling discipline and technical depth.
The camp will provide structured training, match simulations, and skill development sessions for India’s brightest under-19 prospects. Saxena’s presence ensures the program benefits from both his playing pedigree and coaching expertise.
