Odisha Vigilance officials on Friday launched simultaneous raids at eight different locations across the state in connection with a disproportionate assets (DA) case against Susanta Kumar Sethy, a Junior Engineer (JE) with the Roads and Buildings (R&B) Division in Khariar, Nuapada district.
The raids are being conducted based on allegations that Sethy has amassed assets beyond his known sources of income. The operation is being carried out by multiple special teams under the leadership of seven Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs), supported by three Inspectors, ten Assistant Sub-Inspectors, and other staff, following search warrants issued by the Special Vigilance Judge, Bhubaneswar.

Vigilance sources said the investigation is in a preliminary stage, and a comprehensive assessment of assets—both movable and immovable—is underway. Documents, bank records, and other materials found during the searches are being scrutinized to determine the extent of alleged financial irregularities.
