He was 70 years old and had been battling kidney-related ailments for the past few years.

Mohanty, known for his four-decade-long career in journalism, was a trailblazer in political reporting, earning immense respect for his integrity and insightful coverage. His passing has left a void in Odisha’s media landscape.

Condolences Pour In: Leaders from across the political spectrum mourned his demise. Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida, Leader of Opposition Naveen Patnaik, and Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan extended heartfelt condolences.
