India’s spin sensation Varun Chakaravarthy has climbed to the top of the ICC Men’s T20I Bowling Rankings for the first time in his career, capping off a remarkable run of form in 2025.
Historic Achievement for Chakaravarthy
Chakaravarthy, 34, is now only the third Indian bowler ever to achieve the No.1 position in T20I bowling rankings, joining the elite company of Jasprit Bumrah and Ravi Bishnoi.
The mystery spinner’s rise comes after a string of impactful performances, including a five-wicket haul against England earlier this year and two disciplined outings in the ongoing Asia Cup — returning figures of 1/4 against UAE and 1/24 against Pakistan.
