Union Law and Justice Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal visited the Jagannath Temple in Puri during his Odisha tour and offered prayers to Lord Jagannath.
He sought blessings for the welfare of the nation and Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s continued leadership.
Speaking to the media after the darshan, Meghwal described the day as historic for Indian democracy. He noted that Prime Minister Modi has earned the distinction of serving the longest tenure as an elected Prime Minister in the country. He said the nation continues to witness good governance and development under Modi’s leadership, and he prayed for the Prime Minister’s success and the country’s prosperity.
After the temple visit, Meghwal lit a ceremonial lamp near the Arun Stambha. The atmosphere around the Singhadwar resonated with chants of “Jagannath Trahimam,” creating a spiritual environment for devotees and visitors.
Puri MP Dr Sambit Patra, BJP workers, and several well-wishers joined the occasion. Later in the evening, a Mahodadhi Archan program was scheduled as part of the minister’s itinerary.
Dr Patra remarked that prayers offered for the Prime Minister’s well-being across temples in India mark a significant day in the democratic history of the nation.
