Two minor girls were allegedly gang-raped by four youths in Ganjam district, Odisha, after being taken from a marriage function.
The victims’ families have lodged a police complaint, prompting authorities to launch a rigorous investigation.
According to reports, the girls had attended a marriage function on June 3 when they mysteriously went missing. Following an extensive search, it was discovered that two youths from the event had lured the girls away, leading to a horrifying ordeal involving two additional accomplices. The accused allegedly assaulted the girls and later abandoned them in a secluded area.
The victims were later found and brought home by their families, who then sought justice by filing a formal complaint on June 4. The girls are scheduled for medical examinations today, while police continue their pursuit of the accused. Ganjam Superintendent of Police has assured strict action, stating that once apprehended, the accused will face legal consequences.
