A horrific head-on collision between two motorcycles on State Highway 53 near Bancho Chhak under Hatadihi area left two people dead and four others seriously injured on Tuesday evening.
The accident occurred around 7 PM when the two bikes crashed into each other. The deceased have been identified as residents of Akarua and Agarapada areas under Anandpur police station limits.
The injured were rushed to the sub-divisional hospital for urgent treatment, while the bodies remained on the road for some time.
The impact of the collision caused massive traffic disruption, with hundreds of vehicles stranded on both sides of the highway. Police reached the spot and worked to restore normal traffic movement.
