Phulbani: The Special Task Force (STF) on Monday arrested two persons while they were making a deal to sell a leopard skin at Khajuripada village here in Khandhamal district.
The STF seized the wildlife skin and forwarded the accused duo to court.
Acting on reliable sources, the STF team raided the village and seized one leopard skin and arrested the duo, identified as Sujit Rajadeep and Dhananjay Behera Ara Paju village under f Khajuripada block, the STF said.
A case has been registered against them under Sections 379, 120-B, 411, and 51 of the Wildlife Protection Act.
Both were produced in SDJM court which sent them to judicial custody.
