Sambalpur: Tuition teacher who had allegedly abducted two minor girl students from BRIT Colony under Badagada police station limits of Bhubaneswar nabbed in Ainthapali area of Sambalpur on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, two abducted minor girls were also rescued and police have shifted them to the Sakhi centre.
According to police, they conducted a raid near the Ainthapali area of Sambalpur and rescued the abducted minors along with the accused tuition teacher.
While the accused has been detained and being questioned by police regarding the case, the rescued girls will be handed over to Bhubaneswar Police after proper study of the case, police added.
According to reports, the accused tuition teacher, identified as Gopalalrushna Badatia (33), a native of Hinjili in Ganjam district, is married and has a son. He was staying at his in-laws’ house in Balipatna area, the police said.
The two girl students were studying in classes 8 and 10 respectively, the police added.
Parents of the two students became suspicious of Badatiya’s conduct when they found the tutor was spending more time with the girls on pretext of teaching them, sources said adding that the teacher had threatened the parents when they opposed his unusual behaviour.
