Tennis fans are in for an exciting finale as Stefanos Tsitsipas and Felix Auger-Aliassime prepare to face off in the Dubai Championships final this Saturday.

This highly anticipated match will be their tenth meeting, with Tsitsipas leading the head-to-head record 6-3. Notably, their previous encounters in finals are evenly matched at 1-1.

Ranked No. 11, Tsitsipas displayed impressive skill and composure in the semifinals, defeating No. 47 Tallon Griekspoor of the Netherlands in straight sets, 6-4, 6-4. Making his first appearance in Dubai since 2020, the Greek star expressed his satisfaction with his performance, stating, “I feel extremely happy that I was able to avoid the drama today and play good tennis.”

This will be Tsitsipas’ third consecutive final in Dubai; he previously lost to Roger Federer in 2019 and Novak Djokovic in 2020. A victory against Auger-Aliassime would not only secure his return to the top 10 rankings for the first time since June but also reinforce his dominance on hard courts.

On the other hand, No. 21-ranked Auger-Aliassime faced a tough challenge in the semifinals against French qualifier Quentin Halys. He triumphed in three sets, winning 5-7, 6-4, 6-3 to reach his third final of the season. Auger-Aliassime’s resilience and determination were clear as he turned the match around midway through the second set, taking control and dominating the remainder of the match.

Reflecting on his performance, Auger-Aliassime remarked, “We were both feeling a bit tired, I think. It was just about having positive self-talk. When we’re having a tough day, it’s important to have a pep talk and stay positive. I did that well and dug deep physically.”

Having already captured titles in Adelaide and Montpellier this year, Auger-Aliassime aims to add another prestigious victory to his impressive 2023 campaign.

The stage is set for an epic showdown between Tsitsipas and Auger-Aliassime at the Dubai Championships final. Tennis fans around the world eagerly await the clash between these two formidable players, each vying for glory and a place in tennis history. Who will emerge victorious? Only time will tell as they battle it out on the courts of Dubai.

Stay tuned for all the latest updates and highlights from this thrilling encounter. 🎾
