Triple H, WWE’s Chief Content Officer and legendary wrestling icon, has announced a major development for fans: the launch of ‘WWE: Unreal’, a behind-the-scenes docuseries set to premiere on Netflix on July 29.
In a post on X, Triple H teased the series by unveiling its poster and writing:
“You never know what to believe… until now. #WWEUnreal premieres July 29 on @netflix.”
The show, ‘Unreal – It’s More Real Than You Think’, will offer an insider look into the world of WWE — exploring the intensity, preparation, and real-life drama behind the spectacle. The series features top stars including John Cena, CM Punk, Cody Rhodes, Rhea Ripley, Charlotte Flair, Bianca Belair, Jey Uso, and Triple H himself.
Produced by Omaha Productions, NFL Films, Skydance Sports, and WWE, the series aims to “pull back the curtain” on the wrestling business, said Triple H (real name Paul Levesque) in a statement to Entertainment Weekly.
“Our business evolves and so do the expectations of our audience,” he noted. “This series showcases the dedication, emotion, and complexity that drives WWE from the inside.”
While excitement brews, WWE star CM Punk expressed mixed feelings about the series.
“I have that old-school mentality of protecting the business,” Punk said. “So the idea of letting cameras this far behind the scenes is strange — even if I understand why fans want it.”
The series is directed by Chris Weaver and is expected to draw parallels with other high-profile sports docuseries by Netflix, such as Formula 1: Drive to Survive.
