Bhubaneswar witnessed a serious road accident today in Baragada Brit Colony when a traveller vehicle collided with a battery-operated auto.

Four passengers inside the auto sustained injuries and were rushed to a nearby medical college and hospital for treatment.

CCTV footage captured the incident clearly. The video shows the traveller speeding down the main road before suddenly hitting the auto from behind. The impact overturned the auto, leaving passengers severely injured.

Police and traffic officials reached the spot quickly and began an investigation. Authorities suspect overspeeding, negligence, or violation of traffic rules as possible causes. The traveller driver has been detained for questioning.

Doctors confirmed that some of the injured were in critical condition initially, but have now been stabilised after immediate medical care.

The accident has once again raised concerns about road safety in the capital city. Officials stressed the importance of strict adherence to traffic rules and cautious driving to prevent such tragedies.
