The Ministry of Rural Development has taken a significant step towards inclusive development by approving infrastructure projects under the Pradhan Mantri Janjati Adivasi Nyaya Maha Abhiyan (PM-JANMAN) for the states of Odisha and Tripura.

This initiative focuses on improving rural connectivity and uplifting Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTGs).

Key Highlights:

  • In Tripura, 25 roads spanning 84.352 km have been sanctioned, with a budget of ₹76.47 crore.
  • Odisha received approval for 26 roads covering 63.271 km and 2 long-span bridges, with an estimated investment of ₹69.65 crore.
  • These projects aim to provide all-weather connectivity, improve access to essential services, boost economic growth, and generate local employment opportunities.

The move underscores the government’s commitment to fostering socio-economic growth in remote tribal regions, contributing to the larger vision of a developed and inclusive India.
