A massive landslide caused by relentless rainfall has disrupted train operations on the Koraput-Kirandul line in the Koraput-Jeypore rail section of the Waltair Division, East Coast Railway (ECoR).
The incident, which occurred on July 2, 2025, between Malliguda and Jarati stations, has led to the cancellation or partial cancellation of several key train services for the second consecutive day, affecting thousands of passengers.

Senior officials, including the Divisional Railway Manager, are on-site to oversee restoration efforts, which are proceeding at a rapid pace to resume normal operations.
