Amid escalating military tensions between India and Pakistan, the North Western Railways has cancelled four trains and rescheduled five others in Rajasthan.
The affected routes include services to and from Munabao, a border village in Rajasthan.
Railway officials stated that the decision was made as a precautionary measure due to blackouts and emergency protocols near the border. Passengers are advised to check updates via railway websites or helpline numbers before travelling.
The cancellations impact key routes including Jodhpur-Barmer Demu Express, Barmer-Jodhpur Demu Express, and Munabao-Barmer Express. Meanwhile, trains like Jaipur-Jaisalmer Express and Jodhpur-Dadar Express have been partially cancelled or rescheduled due to blackout restrictions in Barmer, Jaisalmer, and Jodhpur.
Authorities enforced blackout protocols in these regions to safeguard critical infrastructure amid concerns of possible air strikes.
