Bhubaneswar: The Commissionerate Police has issued a detailed traffic advisory ahead of the third session of the 17th Odisha Legislative Assembly, scheduled to run from February 13 to April 5, 2025. The session will be conducted in two phases: the first from February 13 to February 21, and the second from March 7 to April 5.
To ensure security and smooth traffic flow in the vicinity of the State Assembly, the Twin City Commissionerate Police has implemented several diversion measures. Vehicles approaching from Housing Board Square are directed to take a left turn at Keshari Talkies Square, while those coming from AG Square towards PMG must turn right at Jaydev Bhawan and proceed along Indira Gandhi Park Road. Additionally, vehicles from the Master Canteen side heading toward PMG will be diverted through adjoining lanes at Lower PMG.
Further, vehicles arriving from the 120 Infantry Battalion Square will not be allowed to proceed towards Rabindra Mandap and will instead be rerouted to Power House Square. Similarly, traffic from Raj Bhawan Square, en route to MLA Colony and Rabindra Mandap, will be diverted via Sastrinagar Square.
The advisory clarifies that these restrictions do not apply to emergency vehicles such as police, fire, and ambulances, nor to vehicles authorized to enter official buildings including the State Assembly, the State Secretariat, and nearby offices.
