The Traitors Season 2 has crowned its winners, with Krystle D’Souza and Rida Tharana lifting the trophy and sharing a prize pot of ₹66 lakh after a dramatic finale.
Hosted by Karan Johar, the reality show ended with the two Traitors standing against the Innocents. Both managed to conceal their identities until the final stages of the game before revealing themselves as the season’s winning Traitors.
Krystle and Rida’s journey to the finale
Krystle came under suspicion several times during the competition but repeatedly managed to deflect attention.
One key moment came when private detective Tanya Puri questioned Krystle and Shahneel Gill about letters they had received. While Krystle managed to defend herself, doubts shifted towards Shahneel, who was eventually voted out.
Rida’s journey took a different turn. She initially entered the game as an Innocent, attempting to identify the hidden Traitors. She was later recruited as a Traitor, forcing her to adapt to a completely new strategy.
Her new role brought considerable pressure, particularly as contestants close to her were eliminated. At one stage, some contestants even suspected that she had been blackmailed into becoming a Traitor.
How the prize money reached ₹66 lakh
The final stretch featured Dalip Tahil, Sahil Salathia, Shalini Passi, Rida Tharana and Krystle D’Souza.
The finalists participated in a mission involving gold bars placed in bags on camels. The prize pot, which stood at ₹48.40 lakh, increased by another ₹17.60 lakh, taking the total winnings to ₹66 lakh.
The Circle of Shaq then delivered another series of eliminations.
Dalip Tahil was the first to leave the final five after Krystle helped convince the others to vote him out. He was unable to reveal his true identity before his elimination.
The remaining four — Krystle, Rida, Shalini and Sahil — then faced an increasingly tense final phase.
Sahil and Shalini eliminated
The contestants had to choose between the Pouch of Shaq and the Pouch of Trust.
Choosing Shaq meant another contestant would have to be eliminated, while choosing Trust could potentially bring the game to an end.
All four initially chose Shaq, leading to a vote that eliminated Sahil Salathia.
In the following round, Krystle chose Trust and Rida followed her. Shalini chose Shaq, forcing another vote.
Shalini voted for Rida, while Krystle and Rida voted against Shalini. Her elimination left Krystle and Rida as the final two.
Krystle chooses to share the victory
The biggest decision came when Krystle had the opportunity to choose between a solo victory and sharing the win with Rida.
She chose to save Rida, meaning the two Traitors would jointly claim the title and the ₹66 lakh prize.
During the final reveal, Krystle and Rida confirmed that they had been Traitors, leaving the eliminated contestants surprised.
Krystle also opened up about her strategy, saying she had played the game honestly and from the heart despite being a Traitor from the beginning.
Karan Johar congratulated the duo and praised Krystle’s gameplay, describing it as a “very, very smart game.”
Who were the contestants in The Traitors Season 2?
The second season featured Aaditya Kulshreshth (Kullu), Abhishek Malhan, Ansh Chopra, Dalip Tahil, Harman Singha, Ikka Singh, Karan Singh Magic, Krystle D’Souza, Mallika Sherawat, Munawar Faruqui, Parul Gulati, Prish, Ranveer Brar, Rhea Chakraborty, Rida Tharana, Sahil Salathia, Shahneel Gill, Shalini Passi, Shweta Tiwari, Soundous Moufakir and Tanya Puri.
How The Traitors works
The reality show revolves around a battle between Innocents and Traitors.
The Traitors secretly work together to eliminate the Innocents while protecting their identities. The Innocents, meanwhile, must identify the Traitors and vote them out before they are eliminated themselves.
Contestants also compete in missions to build the prize pot and enter the Circle of Shaq, where their suspicions and votes can dramatically alter the game.
With alliances constantly changing and trust becoming increasingly difficult to maintain, Krystle and Rida ultimately managed to survive the final round and emerge as joint winners of The Traitors Season 2.
