Gautam Gambhir, the head coach of India’s men’s cricket team and former BJP MP, has reportedly received chilling death threats from an email address associated with “ISIS Kashmir.”
Delhi Police officials stated that the threatening emails, dated April 22, included a direct message reading, “I KILL YOU.” The emails were addressed to an ID linked to Gambhir, raising immediate security alarms.
An FIR was registered at the Rajinder Nagar police station, and screenshots of the emails were submitted as evidence. While this incident has sparked concerns, it isn’t the first time Gambhir has encountered similar threats; he faced such occurrences back in 2022, prompting enhanced security arrangements.
Authorities have confirmed that an investigation is underway to track the origins of the emails and ensure Gambhir’s safety. With tensions rising, the cricketing world stands united in solidarity with Gambhir and his family during this unsettling ordeal.
