The Odisha School Education Programme Authority (OSEPA) has issued an official directive for the conduct of Summative Assessment‑I (SA‑I) for the academic year 2026‑27.
According to the circular signed by Additional Director (Quality) Smt. Amita Pattnaik, the SA‑I examinations for Shishu Vatika‑III to Class VIII will be held in all Government and Government‑aided schools across the state during the fourth week of September 2026, as per the academic calendar and assessment framework.
The letter, marked “Most Urgent,” instructs all District Education Officers (DEOs) and District Programme Coordinators (DPCs) to ensure timely completion of the exams, strictly adhering to the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) approved by the government.
OSEPA has emphasised that the Assessment Framework for School Education communicated earlier must be followed scrupulously. Copies of the directive have been circulated to all Block Education Officers and Directors of Elementary and Secondary Education for necessary action.
The move aims to maintain uniformity and timely evaluation across Odisha’s school system, ensuring smooth academic progress for students from the foundational to upper‑primary levels.
