Pattnaik shared the creation on social media, writing, “Heartiest Congratulations to Shri CP Radhakrishnan ji on being elected as the Vice-President of India.” The tribute has garnered widespread appreciation for its artistry and emotional resonance.
Radhakrishnan, the NDA nominee, won the Vice-Presidential election by a significant margin of 152 votes, defeating opposition candidate B Sudershan Reddy. A total of 452 lawmakers voted in his favor, following the unexpected resignation of former Vice-President Jagdeep Dhankhar.
Pattnaik’s tribute not only celebrates the democratic milestone but also reinforces Odisha’s cultural pride, as Puri continues to be a canvas for national moments through the artist’s sand sculptures.
