The Odisha government has officially reopened applications for its flagship women’s welfare initiative — Subhadra Yojana 2025. The scheme aims to empower women across the state by offering direct financial assistance through a simple and transparent online process.
Key Objective of Subhadra Yojana
Launched under the state’s Women and Child Development Department (WCD), the Subhadra Yojana focuses on supporting women’s economic independence. Eligible women can now apply through the official Subhadra Yojana portal, with digital submissions ensuring faster approval and better accessibility.
Who Can Apply
Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida announced that women aged between 21 and 60 years are eligible to apply.
-
Women who are currently 20 or turning 21 soon can also start the application process. Their enrollment will be confirmed once they reach the age of 21.
-
The scheme is open to all eligible women residents of Odisha, except in districts where the Model Code of Conduct is currently enforced.
Who Cannot Apply
To ensure fair distribution, the government has set clear exclusion rules.
-
Women students already receiving ₹18,000 or more per year from scholarships or other welfare schemes (state or central) will not be eligible for Subhadra Yojana benefits.
-
This step helps prevent duplication of financial aid and ensures that assistance reaches those who need it most.
Verification and Transparency Measures
The WCD Department has started a comprehensive data verification process with the Higher Education Department and the Department of SC, ST, and Minorities.
-
Records from FY 2023–24 and 2024–25 are being cross-checked (excluding arrears).
-
Beneficiaries found to have received ₹18,000 or more during this period will be excluded under the revised guidelines.
How to Apply Online
Eligible women can easily submit their applications by visiting the official Subhadra Yojana website.
Steps to apply:
-
Visit the Subhadra Yojana official portal.
-
Fill in the online application form with accurate personal details.
