The Odisha government has announced a significant recruitment drive for the newly established Swatantra Shree Mandir Surakshya Vahini (SSMSV).
This initiative aims to ensure the safety of both the devotees and the temple premises.
According to the official notification, a total of 1,083 positions will be filled, spanning various ranks and responsibilities. The recruitment process will appoint one Commandant from the State Armed Cadre, alongside two Deputy Commandants, ten Assistant Commandants, eight Inspectors, and 31 Sub-Inspectors. Additionally, 24 Assistant Sub-Inspectors will be recruited from the State Cadre of Civil Police.
The drive extends to appointing 240 Havildars and 720 Sepoys from the battalion cadre. Notifications for these positions have been officially issued, and aspiring candidates are encouraged to apply.
The entire recruitment process will be overseen by a Committee led by the Additional Director General of Police, with the support of other high-ranking officials. This comprehensive recruitment strategy reflects the state’s commitment to bolstering the protection and operations of one of India’s most significant religious institutions.
