Odisha’s administrative core received a modern boost today as the Hon’ble Minister of Housing & Urban Development, Dr Krushna Chandra Mohapatra, officially inaugurated ‘Srujana’—a premium Canteen and Lounge facility—at Kharavela Bhawan.
Located on the first floor, ‘Srujana’ is envisioned as more than just a dining space. Instead, it aims to serve as a vibrant hub for Creativity, Conversation, and Cuisine. The inauguration ceremony took place in the distinguished presence of Principal Secretary Smt. Usha Padhee, along with senior officers and staff members from multiple departments.
Designed to foster collaboration and relaxation, the newly constructed lounge offers a modern environment where officials can engage in meaningful dialogue over quality cuisine. Consequently, the facility reflects the state government’s commitment to providing world-class infrastructure and a supportive atmosphere for its workforce within the secretariat.
During his address, Dr Mohapatra emphasised that such spaces are essential for sparking fresh ideas and building a cohesive work culture. Furthermore, he noted that the initiative demonstrates the government’s focus on enhancing workplace experiences for its employees.
The event witnessed high attendance from department staff, who warmly welcomed the addition of this modern amenity to the Kharavela Bhawan campus. Ultimately, the inauguration of ‘Srujana’ marked a significant step toward blending innovation with everyday workplace life.
