The Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) has announced that the inventory of the sacred Ratna Bhandar will be conducted on August 31 and September 1.
The decision was taken keeping in view the upcoming festivals and rituals at the 12th‑century shrine. Officials emphasised that the dates were finalised to ensure that daily rituals and darshan for devotees remain uninterrupted.
According to SJTA, the entire process will be carried out strictly in line with the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) approved by the Odisha government. All guidelines and protocols laid down in the SOP will be followed meticulously.
The temple administration has sought the full cooperation of servitors and devotees to ensure smooth conduct of the inventory. With careful planning, SJTA aims to balance security, transparency, and devotion during the counting exercise.
Authorities expressed confidence that the process will be completed successfully with collective support, reinforcing the sanctity and tradition of the shrine.
