With Ram Navami just around the corner, Special DG of Odisha Crime Branch, Vinaytosh Mishra, reviewed the security arrangements in Bhadrak and Balasore districts to ensure a peaceful and incident-free celebration.
A high-level meeting involving senior police officials, including Eastern Range DIG Satyajit Naik and respective district SPs, finalized plans for robust law enforcement during the festivities.
In Bhadrak, 26 platoons of police will be deployed, while Balasore will see 17 platoons stationed to maintain law and order. The deployment will be further bolstered by CRPF, BSF, and RAF personnel. Advanced surveillance measures such as CCTV cameras and drones will monitor sensitive and critical areas to address potential security concerns.
The authorities also launched a warrant drive targeting individuals with pending warrants, including those with Non-Bailable Warrants (NBWs). Quick Response Teams (QRTs) and static forces will be positioned at strategic locations, ensuring rapid response in case of emergencies. Traffic management strategies are in place, and social media platforms will be monitored to prevent the spread of misinformation.
A ceremonial flag march in Bhadrak district highlighted the readiness of the police forces. These initiatives showcase the state government’s commitment to fostering a safe environment for the Ram Navami celebrations.
