Snakebite Claims Lives of Two Minor Siblings in Sundargarh

Two minor siblings died by snakebite in Jhirpani village under Tamda Panchayat in Sundargarh district.


The deceased have been identified as Emrolon Ekka(6) and Ablina Ekka(8).

The children were sleeping beside their parents when the snake struck around 11 PM. Despite being rushed to Rourkela Government Hospital, they were declared dead by 3 AM.

Following the tragedy, Chandiposh police arrived at the hospital, seized the bodies for postmortem, and registered an unnatural death case. The incident has cast a pall of gloom over the village and surrounding areas, leaving the community in mourning.
