Jharsuguda: Police on Wednesday arrested six persons for allegedly committing theft from a yarn factory in the Jharsuguda district.
The arrestees have been identified as Kumar Patra (45), Chotu Ram (35), Premchand Jaiswal (45), Kharu Khadiya (57), Chotu Kharsel (32), and Jugiya Oram (24).
According to reports, the matter came to the fore after the authorities of the Bhaskar factory lodged a written complaint with the Sadar police station alleging theft of 60 kg of copper wire from the factory premises.
On the basis of the complaint, police registered a case (16/21) and arrested the accused. The cops also seized 40 kg of copper from them.
Later, the accused were forwarded to the court and further investigation is underway into the matter.
