Bhadrak: A small dispute of shopkeeper-customer over Rs 10 took the life of the merchant, near Charampa, Patharadi, Bhadrak.
Bijaya Panda, a grocery shopkeeper had his shop near Charampa, Pathradi square. Wednesday morning, he opened the shop with a little delay due to the rain. Meanwhile, a local named Pintu Parida came to the shop and bought some goods worth Rs 155.
As Pintu was getting away by paying just Rs. 140 on UPI, Bijaya rushed to stop him and asked him to pay at least Rs. 150 deducting 5 rupees. But instead of paying his due amount, Pintu hit the retailer hard to the ground. On this sudden attack, the shopkeeper fell unconscious.
He was taken to the Bhadrak Medical immediately where doctors declared him dead. This incident has created a stir in the area.
