Superstar Shah Rukh Khan has reportedly sustained a muscular injury while shooting an intense action scene for his upcoming film King.
The incident occurred at a Mumbai film studio where Khan was filming alongside his daughter and co-star Suhana Khan.
According to reports from Bollywood Hungama, the injury resulted from performing a high-octane stunt sequence. Though not deemed serious, it required immediate medical attention. SRK has since travelled to the United States with his team to undergo treatment, with doctors recommending at least a month of rest.
As a result, all filming schedules between July and August have been postponed, with the production team aiming to resume work by September or October, depending on Khan’s recovery progress.
King, directed by Siddharth Anand, is touted as one of Shah Rukh’s most ambitious projects. The film also marks Suhana Khan’s theatrical debut following The Archies. The ensemble cast includes Bollywood heavyweights like Deepika Padukone, Rani Mukerji, Abhishek Bachchan, Anil Kapoor, and Jaideep Ahlawat.
Fans had previously speculated about SRK’s condition after he was seen with a black tape near his neck at a public event in Jaipur, sparking questions about a possible injury during filming.
Despite the delay, excitement remains high for the film’s release, which promises gripping action sequences and powerhouse performances. Stay tuned for more updates as King returns to the sets later this year.
