Probationers from the Indian Statistical Service (ISS), Indian Skill Development Service (ISDS), and Central Engineering Service (CES) met the President of India, Smt Droupadi Murmu, at Rashtrapati Bhavan today.

In her address, the President emphasized the transformative role these officers will play in shaping India’s future.

Speaking to the ISS officers, President Murmu highlighted the growing importance of data in governance. “Sound policy formulation and implementation depend on accurate statistical analysis,” she said, urging officers to uphold precision and analytical rigor in their work.

Addressing ISDS probationers, she underscored the role of skill development in economic growth. “Skill and knowledge are the true engines of progress,” she noted, expressing confidence that these officers will help build a future-ready workforce capable of meeting global challenges.

To CES officers, the President emphasized the critical role of engineers in infrastructure and sustainable development. She encouraged organizations like CPWD to lead with innovation and environmental responsibility.

President Murmu concluded by reminding all probationers of their dual role in policy implementation and feedback-driven policymaking. “By serving with passion and integrity, you can contribute in the making of a nation that is more prosperous, resilient, and inclusive,” she said.

Her remarks reinforced the importance of civil services in driving inclusive development and positioning India as a global model of strength and progress.
