The recent shocking attack on Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff has sent massive shockwaves through the film industry, triggering an unprecedented security overhaul across Mumbai.
Following the brazen shooting near a Juhu football ground, law enforcement and star management teams have rushed to reinforce safety protocols, directly impacting the residences of superstars Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar.
The Juhu Attack and Shocking Revelations
The incident unfolded on Sunday evening when Tiger Shroff was leaving a football match in Mumbai’s Juhu area. Three bike-borne assailants opened fire on his vehicle, leaving his driver injured. While the Baaghi star managed to escape major physical injury, subsequent police probes uncovered a chilling reality: intelligence and source reports revealed that Salman Khan was the intended primary target of the assassination bid, with the shooters having previously conducted a recce of Khan’s residence before backing off due to heavy security.
Swift police action led to a multi-state manhunt. The three accused—identified as 22-year-old Hrithik alias Roshan from Bihar, alongside 18-year-old Rehan and 18-year-old Phool Singh from Haryana—were apprehended by authorities at Rajasthan’s Kota railway station. The trio has been formally charged with attempted murder.
Ripple Effects Across Bollywood Residences
In light of the security threat, authorities and celebrity security details have stepped up protection levels:
-
Salman Khan: Already under Y+ security, the bulletproof glass shields at Khan’s iconic Galaxy Apartments are currently undergoing high-level upgrades. Khan was recently spotted departing from Mumbai’s Kalina private airport amidst the heightened crisis.
-
Akshay Kumar: Immediate security enhancements have been deployed outside Kumar’s residence, alongside the urgent installation of heavy-duty bulletproof glass shields.
While Tiger Shroff has kept a low public profile following the ordeal, he has been in direct contact with Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde to review safety measures. Prominent film fraternity members, including Suniel Shetty, Ranvir Shorey, Amaal Mallik, and Mika Singh, have publicly condemned the violence, demanding uncompromising justice and enhanced protective measures for actors and their families.
