The Odisha Government has deployed a team of specialist doctors from SCB Medical College and Hospital, Cuttack to Nuapada district under the Mukhyamantri Bayu Swasthya Seva Scheme (MBSSS).
The team, equipped with advanced medical instruments and essential drugs, reached the district headquarters hospital on July 21 and will operate till July 24.
The team comprises six renowned super specialists:
- Dr Bhawani Shankar Dhal – Endocrinology
- Dr Biswajit Mohanty – Nephrology
- Dr Lincoln Patel – Urology
- Dr Sananda Kumar Sethi – Gastroenterology
- Dr Sonalika Behera – Neurology
- Dr Pankaj Kumar Maravi – Cardiology
According to official reports, 632 patients from across Nuapada have been enlisted under the MBSSS initiative. These patients will receive comprehensive consultations and case-specific therapeutic interventions. The expert team will also conduct clinical evaluations to prepare cases for further treatment by a senior specialist group arriving tomorrow.
This initiative is part of Odisha’s ongoing mission to enhance universal health coverage in remote and underserved areas by providing high-quality, specialised care.
