Asian Games gold medallists Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty have reclaimed their spot in the top 10 of the BWF men’s doubles world rankings, climbing three positions following their semifinal run at the China Open.
The duo, now placed 10th globally, has made three semifinal appearances this season, adding to their earlier successes at the Singapore and India Opens.
In singles, India’s Lakshya Sen continues his ascent, moving up two places to secure the 17th spot with over 54,000 points. Veteran shuttler HS Prannoy also gained ground, reaching world No. 33.
Meanwhile, teenage sensation Unnati Hooda created ripples with a career-best ranking of No. 31 after defeating double Olympic medallist PV Sindhu in a thrilling pre-quarterfinal match. In the women’s doubles category, Treesa Jolly and Gayatri Gopichand maintained their position at No. 11, while Tanisha Crasto and Ashwini Ponnappa climbed two spots to 45.
